Weddings outside Greater Edmonton Area

within Canada

Can you do weddings outside of Canada?

Yes. Please contact Stephen Kiers for details.

When do you require lodging?

Lodging is sometimes required, and sometimes suggested.  Usually any wedding over 200km from Edmonton requires lodging for one night.  Usually that night is the night before the wedding; so that we are 100% sure we are there on time.

Road conditions could require lodging as well. A wedding in the mountains in the winter will require two nights lodging to ensure safe travelling.

Lodging must be two seperate private rooms; as I travel with a lot of gear and a female assistant.  Lodging can be billeting at a house or at a hotel.

Contact Stephen Kiers to discuss possibilities.

What are transportation costs?

Current transportation costs are $0.40/km both ways, based on Google Maps estimation of travel between cities. We do not count additional travel on wedding day.

Examples of some popular locations:

  • Calgary (298 km) x 2 ways x $.40 = $238.40 + GST + lodging
  • Slave Lake (254 km) x 2 ways x $.40 = $203.20 + GST + lodging
  • Red Deer (158km) x 2 ways x $.40 = $126.40 + GST
  • Regina (783km) x 2 ways x $.40 = $626.40 + GST + lodging
  • Vancouver (1158km) x 2 ways x $.40 = $926.40 + GST + lodging
  • Banff (419km) x 2 ways x $.40 = $335.20 + GST + lodging

Remember: These costs do not include lodging, if required (rates negotiable).
